Clinpsyc has a post on this 'new' diagnosis.
Truth is I haven't read the specifics on this new diagnosis, but it sounds a little like something we used to call cyclothymia.
My prediction: treatment will be good for pharmaceutical stocks and will cause patients to gain a lot of weight.
Arrrrgh. Stuff like this really chaps my backside. When are people going to learn that life itself is bipolar? There is no pill on the planet that can replace personal accountability and responsibility tempered with healthy dose of reality. Some days are good, some days not so good. Deal.

Sharna,
When I read about this I thought of Eloi and Morlocks.

Eloi! What a great analogy, Dr. X! Ahh to be young and beautiful but possessed of a vacuous hole where the brain should be. Most irksome is that celebretards like Paris, Britney and their ilk celebrate the behavior of bilateral hemispherectomies every day. All the better for the Big, Bad Wolf to eat you with, my pretty.
