Dr. Freberg reviews Loneliness, a book summarizing 30 years of research into the subject by John Cacioppo and his colleagues at U of C.

Can Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome be triggered by smoking cessation? (Corpus Callosum).  My introduction to NMS came as the local police were removing the body of a deceased patient from a psychiatric unit on the very first day of my first inpatient practicum while in graduate school.  At the time, there was lots of speculation about NMS among unit staff members.  I hadn't yet learned anything about psychopharmacology and was unfamiliar with this adverse reaction.
