I've shared few of my thoughts about the Merideth Kercher murder case, but the more I learned about it, the more my thoughts turned to the mountain of research on false accusation and the host of cognitive biases that support it.
Doug Bremner has followed the story closely and, IIRC, his sister, an attorney, was involved in the case. In following the story, he also has the advantage of being an Italian speaker-writer. Over time, Dr. Bremner went from believing Knox was guilty to being thoroughly convinced that she is innocent.
He's got an interesting piece up about the English press's obnoxious treatment of Knox, even after the Italian court's unequivocal vindication of Knox and Raffaele Sollecito.
