Andrew Sullivan is the last person I would look to for rational commentary. Here's his take on Iran:

Ahmadinejad's bag of tricks is eerily like that of Karl Rove - the constant use of fear, the exploitation of religion, the demonization of liberals, the deployment of Potemkin symbolism like Sarah Palin .... Think of this regime as Cheney and Rove in a police state setting, and you see what's been going on. - Andrew Sullivan

Of course, he's not much worse than CBS.

Good thing all that training and discipline is helping to suppress their bias.

I agree, that was an idiotic post, but Sullivan is doing an admirable job of aggregating competing opinion from a variety of sources and he is in contact with sources on the ground. He's got a hundred other posts that are helpful to keeping up with events in Iran. The link I provided above is to Twitter updates from Iranians in Iran.

Anyway, if I stopped listening to every writer who occasionally offended my sensibilities or said something nutty, I'd have to stop reading blogs altogether. I'd rather that political writers take some chances, even cross some lines, and get shot down now and then.

But, if we're really trying to identify the last blogger we should listen to, I must nominate Pam Geller.

You're right. Good point.
