A few years ago, while having lunch with a (psychodynamically inclined!) colleague, I mentioned that my brother-in-law, who works at a seminary, works "at a cemetery." (Check please!)

heh, heh. I bet that's a slip that has occurred many times.

Free association is now rarely practice as it is time consuming and expansive. However; not with only patients with psychological illness but all patients allowed to narrate freely their problem;most of them will tell their diagnosis. The proverb goes "Let the patient tell his diagnosis"
