I love the whole idea of Oz park because I really loved all of the Oz books as a child. I really liked that they were written here in Chicago.

However it bugs me that Dorothy has red shoes on this statue. In the book the shoes were silver. The movie made them red to take really wow the audience in technicolor.

No cowardly Lion?

You know why it's called Oz Park, don't you? Frank Baum lived nearby - supposedly he looked out onto that park when he wrote The Wizard of Oz....
