Everett Koop Has Died

I just read the news that C. Everett Koop, or just 'Dr. Koop' as my family called him, has died. Whatever else may be written, I can tell you from personal experience that this man was a brilliant, pioneering, pediatric surgeon who cared deeply for his young patients. He immeasurably improved the quality of many lives.
