Thanks for all the movie tips. Except for "The Gift," I hadn't heard of any of these other films. To reciprocate, I highly recommend "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," which I just saw this week. It's really entertaining, stylish and fun, without the heavy-handedness so many action movies can have. Specific things I liked: 1) it's rated PG-13, so it's not gratuitous or even all that violent, which I found refreshing. 2) I know it may not be to everyone's taste, as some may find it "styl-ized" rather than "styl-ish," but if you can groove on Henry Cavill's tongue-in-cheek homage to Robert Vaughn's depiction of Napoleon Solo, you'll be in for a nice ride. 3) That said, being familiar with the "60's TV show original is not a prerequisite.

I also really enjoyed "Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation," for some of the same reasons. Though a LOT more high octane than "U.N.C.L.E.," it still had a rather elegant sensibility. I also saw "Jurassic World," a tolerable effects-fest, and "Inside Out," which I assume everyone has seen by now. It was wonderful, and I'd be curious to know what you thought of it.

My ratings:
5/5 Inside Out
4.5/5 The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
4.0/5 Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation
3.5/5 Jurassic World

And thank you for the recommendations.

Tomorrow night we'll see Trainwreck. Haven't seen a comedy in quite some time.

Oh, my God, I forgot to add that to my list! I saw Trainwreck, and it was incredibly hilarious (4/5). Enjoy!

On way home after seeing Trainwreck at Webster Place. It was very funny and Webster Place has those humongous electric reccliners that u can almost lay flat in, like watching a movie in bed.

Awesome, glad you liked it. One more recommendation (unusual summer for me, lot's of movies!)--I don't know if it's still in theaters, but "Age of Adaline" is a very beautiful, well made, shamelessly romantic/sentimental, swell movie. 5+/5
