Last night's Oscars ended in chaos after Warren Beatty was given the wrong envelope to present the award for Best Picture, leading co-presenter Faye Dunaway to mistakenly announce La La Land as the winner. Oscar statues were awarded and speeches were being made by the jubilant cast and crew, when a La La Land producer unexpectedly announced from the stage that Moonlight actually won the award. I liked La La Land, but didn't think it was worthy of the Best Picture award. Manchester by the Sea was more deserving, but Moonlight was also a reasonable choice.
Split is a terrible film, insulting to those suffering with mental illness, and a festival of ignorance regarding Dissociative Identity Disorder. The only satisfying moment in the film was when the psychotherapist was murdered by her patient. 48/100
