This is why I believe Trump's attorneys have stopped him from meeting with Mueller and why I believe they will prevail upon him to plead the Fifth if push comes to shove. They simply cannot stop him from fictionalizing in even the most banal and unnecessary manner on a moment-to-moment basis.
And if he takes the Fifth, don't forget what he said:
"If you are not guilty of a crime, what do you need immunity for?" Trump said at a campaign rally in Florida in September.
"The mob takes the Fifth Amendment," Trump said at a campaign event in Iowa later that month. "If you're innocent, why are you taking the Fifth Amendment?"
