For a variety of reasons, I've had to research (a little) about the 1995 heat wave, which led to about 700 deaths. Even if that figure is wrong and "only" 400 or 500 people died, it was a horrible occurrence. (I didn't live in Big City at the time.) So also: look out for older persons or other vulnerable people.
