CNBC:
President Donald Trump declined Sunday to say he would accept the results of the 2020 election, adding that he will “have to see” and claiming without evidence that mail-in voting will “rig the election.”
I don't recall ever hearing a major party candidate suggest that presidential elections might be rigged until Trump started claiming that, if he lost in 2016, it would be because the election had been rigged. Now he appears poised to claim that the election was rigged if he loses in 2020. And he's setting it up by repeatedly and falsely insisting that mail-in voting will be rigged, but only if he loses.
And I expect that 30- 35% of Americans will support him if he refuses to go.
