Lifelong Republican and former Homeland Security advisor to VP Pence, Olivia Troye, served on Pence's coronavirus task force. She says she resigned because everything the task forced tried to do to protect Americans was undermined by Donald Trump. She claims that all Trump cared about was the election and all their proposals to protect Americans fell on deaf ears. Troye also said that, at one point, Trump mused that perhaps the virus was a good thing because he wouldn't have to shake hands with those "disgusting people," meaning his supporters.
Oliva Troye tells her story here:
Meantime, Mike Pence dismissed Troye as a "disgruntled employee."
Well, that she is, and she makes no bones about it. By her own account, she was appalled by Donald Trump's self-serving indifference toward American lives.
Sometimes disgruntled former employees have every reason to be disgruntled.
