Trump: We sent in the US Marshals, took 15 minutes and it was over... They knew who he was, they didn’t want to arrest him and 15 minutes that ended.
Now I don't believe the US Marshals really committed first-degree murder, or I'd like to believe they didn't go in there with straightforward intent to kill, regardless of what they encountered. But here, Trump clearly establishes himself as an autocrat. He does not believe he is bound by law, and he endorses first-degree murder by those under his authority.
It's no accident that Trump once said that his supporters would stick with him if he committed cold-blooded murder on Fifth Avenue. He is comfortable with murder, and he believes his own supporters are morally warped. I'll leave it to others to decide if they really are that warped.
Anyone paying attention already knows all this about Trump. He is an authoritarian who has no respect for the law, no interest in justice, no decency, no respect for the rights of others, and definitely no respect for the lives of others.
This incident happened earlier in the month. The person in question was branded a cold-blooded left-wing Antifa killer that was hunting Trump supporters by Trump and right-wing media. At the same time, Kyle Rittenhouse was portrayed as a good citizen acting in self defense and the arrest records of two of his victims were all over the media. Trump and his supporters branded Rittenhouse a hero.
Very little notice was given that the victim in the Portland incident was a member of Patriot Prayer, a group whose main aim is to show up and confront protesters very much like the Proud Boys. Also, he had been arrested and had illegal firearms seized at a protest not long before the shooting incident.

Aaron "Jay" Danielson also used the name Jay Bishop. An account of his previous arrest:
